The guest list was easy – all except one invitation; Boethus and Klytia. They each deserved the executioner's ax, but to not invite them was an open invitation for more trouble. So, reluctantly, I penned their name down on the list before handing it to one of my servants. "Make sure everyone on this list receives an invite, will you?"

"Yes, Kyrios." They bowed and then they were off.
