The kitchen was still pretty disastrous from the party, but I managed to find a clean rag which I wetted as I sat Messene down to tend to her wounded head.

"I still can't believe she managed to sneak up on me," she said with a look of disgust.

I wiped at the blood which had already dried dabbed gently at the wound itself. Luckily, it was barely bleeding now. "Please, don't beat yourself up. She snuck up on me as well."
