I gasped heavily as I opened my eyes and was met with the blazing early morning sun. It felt like I had just woken up from a thousand years old sleep. I looked around the room and noticed that I was in some kind of mini hospital.

The door opened softly and mom walked in, “Ava?” she gasped walking up to me. “You’re awake?” she cuppled my face and kissed my forehead softly.

“Mom?” I called, my voice coming out like a whisper.

“I’m so happy that you're okay.” she sniffed ...
