Later that night, I couldn’t sleep. The thought of what happened during the day kept me wondering. Standing up from my bed, I walked towards my open window, staring out at the moon. The silvery light bathed the forest with a glow, casting shadows that danced with the rustling leaves. I then looked at the wall clock and realised it was 3 AM. Everywhere was quiet as I realised I had to use this opportunity to leave this place.
