Jake’s POV

The drive to the hospital felt like the world was tilting off its axis. My phone kept ringing, vibrating so violently in my hand that I almost threw it out of the window. First the call about Tyler’s accident. Then, barely ten minutes later I fit another call. From a different number. As I picked it the news even broke me more.

“Sir… it’s Mrs Chloe. She collapsed. She’s bleeding seriously. They’re rushing her into emergency labor.”
