Arriving back at the house, Teagan walked straight to his room without saying a word. Ever since his grandfather mentioned staying married for two years and having a child, he hadn’t spoken to me. I knew it must have hit him differently. This was supposed to be a simple contract marriage — signed on paper, clean and temporary. But two years? That was no small deal.
