After attending to patient after patient, I could feel the exhaustion weighing down my shoulders. Fridays were always brutal — the hospital practically overflowed with people, and today was no different. Stretchers lined the hallways, families hovered anxiously, nurses rushed like they were sprinting through fire, and residents… well, residents like me had no time to even breathe.
