Professor Andrea really thought what he did would break me.

He didn’t know me at all.

He didn’t realize that I have a backbone stronger than steel, and a temper sharper than his insults.

He’s the only one who saw me with the president that day—the way he glared, the way he whispered to others, the way he made that split-second connection in his mind.

I’m more than certain he’s the one who started this ridiculous rumor.
