PRESENT DAY 

It was time for my weekly check-in with Dr. Feelgood, and I was trying, and failing, to not to feel nervous about it. I felt that things were going pretty well for me, but I knew that if the good doctor ever figured out why, I was in trouble. I could tell him about my career success, and about my house, but I could never talk about what really made me happy.
