"What does that mean," I asked Emily, perplexed by what she had told me, "I don't think I understand." 

"You can choose to truly die, and be together with your family," she replied softly, "You will no longer need to walk this earth as you have done for the past century. You can come with us. We have been waiting for you, all of this time."
