"Wait." The word tumbled out of my mouth before I could stop it. "Wait. I changed my mind."

The witch's smile vanished instantly. Her eyes flashed with something dark and dangerous, and the temperature in the cave seemed to drop ten degrees.

"Excuse me?" Her voice was deadly quiet.
