ZEVRAN ILVANE POV

The park was so bright, it looked almost unnatural.

I squinted up at the harsh light, my vision pulsing at the edges as the sun beat down on me.

"I should have just stayed in," I muttered, then let out an exhale as a cool gust of wind blew over my face, easing the sting of the sun.

I wish it could ease the unease clawing beneath my skin too.
