"I'm pregnant," Sylvia repeated, and I stared at her, completely speechless. I took a deep breath, trying to calm my nerves. The fact that she seemed so relaxed about this was giving me a mini heart attack.

"Sylvia, you can't be pregnant," I uttered in total confusion, and she looked at me as if I'd lost it.
