"He asked about Cris," I told my best friend, and Kora stared at me.

"And what did you tell him?" she questioned while folding some clean towels.

"Nothing, I didn't tell him. What would I have told him?" I frowned, even the thought kept a rotten feeling in my stomach.

"At least, Cris used to work for you, so he would let it slide. You don't know how men can be," she chuckled.
