Dorian's eyes landed on Valeria's face, and he swallowed hard again. If her body was like that of a goddess, then her face was like that of an angel. Valeria had special soft facial features that could make a man trip. From her beautiful and soft skin to her sharp and pointed nose, her long eyelashes, and her pink lips. Dorian's eyes landed on her lips, and he stiffened. Before doing something he would regret, Dorian cleared his throat and spoke up.

“You look great, Valeria.” He said with a hoarse voice. Valeria nodded. She, too, was stunned by Dorian's behavior. His eyes were stuck on her body for a while. And for a second, Valeria questioned her decision about the party. Yes, of course, she knows she is beautiful, but she didn't miss the look in Dorian's eyes just now.

They arrived at the party, and the first person they saw was Xavier. Valeria cursed again. It looks like this party will be awful.Soon, Selena came and “stole” Valeria. In the corner, Xavier was drinking with his friends when they noticed a girl who was standing beside Selena.

“She's the new maid ” The men laughed. But after looking at Xavier's face, they knew he wasn't joking.

“At this point I'll do anything to live in your house.” Ethan said. “Do you happen to need a gardener?“ Marcus asked, and the rest laughed. After Xavier, Marcus was the most perverted person in the group. He is always seen with girls, and people say he changes them like clothes. The only difference between him and Xavier was that he liked young and fresh girls, while Xavier liked old women.

Xavier has had multiple affairs with senators, actresses, and even artists who are almost twice his age.

On a quiet balcony, Valeria stood watching the moon. She wasn't used to parties like this, so she required some air. “Are you okay?“ Dorian asked from behind. “Yeah, I'm good.” She replied.

“What's your story, Valeria Rune?“ Dorain suddenly asked, breaking the silence. Valeria looked at him for a while and smiled.

“I'm just an orphan child from the countryside who wants to fend for herself and live a good life.” She simply said. Hearing the word “orphan.” Made Dorian's gaze soften.

“What's your story?“ Valeria asked before he could say anything. He smiled and started talking.

Soon he started talking about all his embarrassing childhood stories, making Valeria laugh loudly. He would occasionally look at her and smile.

Inside, Xavier watched them with a frown on his face and a drink in his hand. He didn't know why, but seeing his brother communicate so naturally with the maid made him feel uneasy.

However, Selena had a few drinks, and she was tipsy. On her way to her room, she swayed dramatically, and her legs gave way. A pair of strong arms caught her, and she smiled.

“So strong.” She whispered as she ran her hands through Luciano's hair. He smiled and held her close. Her cheeks were flushed, and her breath reeked of wine, so Luciano knew that she was drunk. Selena noticed his hands on her waist, and she pushed him lazily. “Pervert!“ She cursed and walked away, but immediately her legs swung, and he caught her again. This time he lifted her and carried her to her room.

Selena did not resist this time, and she melted into his embrace. Reaching her room, Luciano carefully dropped her on the bed and pulled off her shoes. While doing that, his fingers brushed against her legs, making her shiver. Luciano raised a brow.

“Uuhmm.” She whispered under her breath. Luciano swallowed hard and was about to leave when he felt a soft hand grabbing his. She pulled him downwards, and he fell to her.

Their lips touched, and his eyes grew wide open. Selena, on the other hand, felt a strange, tingly sensation all over her body. The warmth from his lips made her want to deepen the kiss.

Being a full-grown man, Luciano was affected by this. But before he would do something he was going to regret, he left and locked the door behind him.

However, Dorian and Valeria decided to call it a day. Dorian insisted on seeing Valeria to her room; on getting there, he did something that shocked her.

“This party was fun, only because of you, so thank you.” Dorian said, and Valeria nodded. But he did something that made her eyes widen.

He moved closer, and Valeria saw his handsome face enlarging in front of her. Dorian placed a soft kiss on her cheek, making Valeria's face heat up. He gave her a look that showed that he wanted more and left.

On the other side of the balcony, Arthur and Luciano watched with deep frowns on their faces.

Valeria was still standing in place, as she was still trying to understand what just happened.

Her thoughts were interrupted when Luciano and Arthur walked into her room. Valeria entered the room and dropped her expensive purse on the table.

"Would you mind explaining what that was about, Valeria?” Arthur asked harshly. Valeria bit her lips; she was still shocked by what just happened, and she didn't have an explanation. That made Arthur's frown deepen. "Valeria, it's been just five days since you came to this house!”

“You just got here, for goodness' sake, and in case you forgot, you are not here to work, nor are you here to form any relationship with any Ravenmoor!” "Valeria, you are here to seek revenge for all the things that these people did to you, for all the pain they made you feel all these years!” Valeria sighed and let the tears in her eyes fall. Arthur continued.

“You are here to avenge Elena!” Valeria cried, and her shoulders shook. Luciano signaled for Arthur to stop, and he did. He hugged Valeria, and she calmed down. She looked at both of them and spoke.
