Artemis pauses seconds before whoever it is knocks, sensing the approaching presence.

He pulls away instinctively, standing between me and the door with an annoyed scowl on his face, and I have to look over his shoulder to see who it is.

Standing there is a student I haven't seen around, with thick-rimmed glasses, obviously cowering at the doorway and fiddling with the tips of his oversized sleeves.
