Amelia POV

The night air was thick with mist.

I crouched behind the outer wall of Crescent Moon’s territory, staring at the faint glow of the torches that lined the gates I once called home.

The scent of pine and cold steel clung to the wind. It was hauntingly familiar and yet everything about it felt wrong.
