The room felt smaller than it had any right to be.

Lily sat on the edge of the bed beside Ronan, her fingers careful as she adjusted the clean bandage around his ribs. He was asleep now, his breathing steady but shallow.

The doctors injected him with something that will put him to sleep so he can gain maximum strength.

It normally lasts for a full 24hours so he was missing out on this.
