“What the hell are you doing here?”

Ariel’s voice stills me.

Her voice echoed down the stone corridor, sharp enough to cut through the silence. Her eyes flicked from my face and then to the door behind me.

The door where I was Jane walk through.

I didn’t answer her immediately. I wanted to he sure whether she knew her mom was in there and if she was in one whatever mess was happening here..

Or if she was oblivious.
