Alex and I took Max for a walk in the woods surrounding his territory. Alex attempted to pet Max for about the hundredth time, but for some reason, Max shied away from him and drew closer to me. Strange, I thought, Max is always so friendly to absolutely everyone. I couldn't figure out why he didn't seem to want to be around Alex.
