Alex wanted to be married right away, which surprised me. He was usually so laid back about life in general that his sudden intensity on this particular point was strange. Alex said that he didn't want to wait any longer than necessary to begin our lives together, which was sweet. I just couldn't understand why that meant we needed to be married in two weeks' time.
