Lilys pov.

I don’t know what I was thinking but here we are. I’m standing in front of my mate , creed and he’s just staring back at me waiting for me to talk.

“I couldn’t sit there and let her talk to my mate like that.. I won’t let her taint you.” I simply say. I can hear Sapphire agree and let out a huff.

Creed chuckles

“Don’t worry Lily.. I was never going to go anywhere with Rayali. That’s the last thing I wanted, I’ve been waiting, watching, I knew you’d make yourself known eventually, I just had to be patient about it.” Damn his voice could make any girls panties wet.

“Okay so.. your telling me.. I acted on impulse?” Creed chuckles a throaty laugh

“Maybe a little bit” he says and winks at me.

‘Ask him what his dragons name is Lily.. but idk if we can trust them about who we are’ Sapphire whines.

“So I know you’re a dragon shifter.. so what’s his name?” I try to act casually.

“Haha, okay. His name is hunter, we are very close actually” creed says.

“Well, tell hunter I’m excited to meet him.. and I’m grateful to meet you creed but..” I start saying but he cuts me off.

“Please Lily, give us a chance” he looks heartbroken already and it gives me a pang in my heart to hear him sound like that.

‘You better not even think of not giving them a chance Lily, this is supposed to be our happiness, our protection’ Sapphire hisses.

‘I wasn’t going to not give them a chance! Jeez Sapphire’

“Creed I wouldn’t not give you a chance. It’s just.. my life is pretty difficult right now.. places aren’t safe for me and I need to stay hidden from the world, Raya knowing where i am is already dangerous. I don’t know who she talks too, or who she works for-“ I went to ramble on about everything, literally spill my guts out to him but he cut me off.

“Lily, slow down, calm down! It’s okay just breathe. We’ll figure this out, together, just maybe we should do it somewhere else” he says with a small smirk. He tells me to follow him and that’s what I do.

Creeds pov.

She’s giving us a chance! Me and hunter couldn’t be any happier, we’re gonna do everything in our power to make sure she accepts us and we’ll protect her. Hunter isn’t any normal dragon either, he’s pitch black with razor points on his wings and on the end of his tail, he blows ice and fire as well as smoke. He’s 15 feet tall and is probably the biggest dragon shifter out there, that’s why I’m the last dragon king. Not to long ago a dragon shifter named Danny farther, one of the strongest dragon shifters started a huge war, he was taking peoples mates and trying to breed them to make female dragons because they are a dying breed, to this day no one knows of any dragon shifters, the magic they were using to try and breed these females were killing them leaving none left. He killed people no matter who they were, especially the woman’s mates, so there is no more female dragons and it’s his fault.

Back to the present now with Lily.

“Where are we going?” Lily asks sceptically.

“Well you see darling, I didn’t want you to spill your guts in front of hundreds of strangers, so I thought you’d be okay going to my tribe, and we can talk there in the privacy of my office.” I say casually.

She looks me up and down a little hesitantly, I wonder if that makes her uncomfortable or something.

“I don’t mean to make you uncomfortable or something else, I just thought why not go somewhere with privacy and it so happens to be my office, in my tribe” I kind of laugh nervously at the end of that, I’m wondering who tf I am right now, where did the the last alpha dragon go, now lays the simp for his mate.

“It’s okay, I’m not uncomfortable with the idea I just didn’t think you were an alpha dragon, and that you’d have your own tribe.. that makes me kind of out there and next to you won’t be making me invisible that’s for sure” she sounds nervous when she speaks. I think about what she’s saying and take notice about how she genuinely looks nervous, I reassure her that we’ll do whatever we need to do, and that I’ll protect her from whatever dangers she may be facing, she’s my mate and I’d do anything for her. We get to my vehicle I have parked outside, it’s an old 1940 Chevrolet Corvette c2 convertible.

“After you my lady” I say jokingly trying to light up the mood, Lily chuckles and slides into the car while I’m holding her door open. The drive wasn’t too long but it wasn’t short either, when we arrived near the gates and walls I glanced her and could see her eyes widen slightly. I don’t think she’s seen the mighty dragon tribe before, I mean with that reaction. The guards see my car and open the gates with no questions asked, Lily spent most of the ride having a silent conversation with her self, or more or less her wolf? I have no idea I can’t tell what she is which is weird because you can usually tell who everyone is… we pull up to my tribes house, more like mansion and I get out quickly and open Lilys door,

“What a gentleman” Lily says sarcastically and I laugh.

Lily's pov

The ride was alright, maybe a little awkward but that’s my fault.. I was arguing with Sapphire the whole time we were driving. She kept telling me to hold his hand and tell him he’s hot blah blah yeah anyways I told her no I wasn’t saying any of that and she tried to take control! Now we’re mad at each other which we’re never mad at each other! We’re walking to Creed's office now. He helped me out of the car earlier and told me to follow him, so that's what I’m doing, he takes up to the fourth floor and leads me down the hallway to a massive wooden door with alpha creed Forester on it. He opens the door and leads us inside.

“Well Lily, we’re here now, take a seat and we can talk” creed says.

“Okay so I guess you should probably sit too.. this might take awhile.”
