“Do you think you could get Alex and Glenda back in here?” I ask Creed quietly after hours of teaching him how to care for the fledglings.

“Yes, I’ll tell Alex to come back, I know you must want to go see Ryan,” he answers me, turning his head to look in my direction.

“I do, I really need to see him,” I whisper, watching Aspin and Wren sleep soundly.
