After I left Petyr's office, the rest of the day passed like a blur.
I threw myself into work, into chatting with Kiara whenever she passed by my office which she did a lot of times.
I tried hard to down thought of Petyr but it was not easy with my pussy still slick.
I wanted him and I hated how much I wanted him, how much I craved the way he made me feel.
When I eventually left the office, it was almost dark. I took a cab to my parent's house.
Since I left the apartment I shared with Franklin, I had not been able to find a new place that I liked and most importantly, was also within my budget.
Don't get me wrong, I saw really nice places but they were either too expensive or too far away from work or I just did not feel good about it.
So, for the meantime, I was staying in my old room at my parent's house.
It was around dinner time now. I was looking at apartment options on my laptop when I heard my parents’ voices from downstairs.
They were bickering again, the same reason why I left their house at eighteen.
They were always at each other for the littlest things, like who forgot to buy milk or whose turn it was to take out the trash. I hated it.
I had talked to them about it before but they said it was their way of expressing their love.
Weird. I would not want my husband expressing love to me in that manner.
I sighed, pushed my chair backward and rose then made my way downstairs to settle whatever nonsense it was that they were arguing about again.
As I descended the steps, their voices got louder.
“You should have seen Sasha last week at the grocery store. “She’s juggling three bags of produce, trying to look all poised, and then - bam! - she trips over a display of canned peaches. The whole pyramid comes crashing down, cans rolling everywhere, and she’s just standing there, red as a tomato, while the store clerk tries not to laugh.” Dad was saying as I walked through the door and into the dining room.
“Now, Duke, you must be exaggerating,” There, at the dining table, sat Petyr. He was laughing, his deep voice mingling with my parents’ as they spoke.
You'd think that at this point I would be used to seeing him around but no, I was very shocked.
At this point, he couldn't tell me anything else. He was following me around.
I hoped he was not one of these men with mental issues who follow their victims around until they finally catch them and harm them.
I had had just about enough drama in my life.
“Tell Petyr about the time you got your tie stuck in the car door at the country club and walked half the parking lot before noticing.” My mom replied, “You've messed up too.”
“That happened one time, Sasha but you, you have a special talent for turning a simple errand into a spectacle.”
Petyr laughed as he held a piece of roasted chicken up in his fork.
I watched him bring it to his lips in a way that I found utterly sexual.
Was I a hoe? I didn't care, the man was fine as hell, anyone would feel this way.
“And you have a talent for exaggerating. If you had just helped me out, maybe I wouldn't have tripped.”
“No,” My dad said, “If you had watched where you were going instead of flirting with the young cashier, you would have still had your dignity.”
They seemed to have not noticed my presence. I took a step back, hoping to slip out before they noticed me.
As if on cue, my mother turned to my direction.
“Oh, Maria.” Hearing my name, Petyr's gaze snapped to me. “There you were. I was just about to call you again. Your food’s getting cold.”
I froze as my escape plan crumbled right in front of me.
“Come. Come and say hi to Uncle Petyr.”
Uncle Petyr? Dad, please, that man had me saying things you'd disown me for. Respectfully.
My eyes darted to ‘Uncle Petyr’ who was watching me with an infuriating smirk that told me he had planned this.
His gaze was heavy and he seemed to be undressing me with his eyes.
I felt exposed. I walked to my seat next to my mom, well, in between my mom and Petyr's chair.
I was sitting only inches away from him now and I could smell his cologne. I could feel the weight of his presence, his proximity.
“Good evening,” I muttered, not caring if he heard me or not.
He was still staring as I helped myself to some food and began eating.
“How was work?” My father asked, his eyes on me.
“It was good,” I replied as the events of the day replayed in my mind. I blushed.
“How was your first day in the new position? Exciting?” Mom asked.
I poked at my food, trying to focus on my plate and not on Petyr's piercing gaze.
I was sure the man could see my soul at this point.
“It wasn't exactly as I imagined. It was full of surprises and…unexpected turns.”
Petyr chuckles, low but loud enough for me to hear.
“In what way?” My mom asked. Just as I was about to answer, my phone ran.
Kiara's name flashed across my screen. Thank God because I didn't know how to explain to my parents that the surprise was finding out that the man next to me was my boss and had left me slick all day.
“I have to take this.” I said as I stood up and made my way upstairs.
