I woke up with a start.

I just lost something important.

“Can you sense Amelia?” I asked my wolf.

“No, her aura just disappeared. I think she just died.”

Growling, I got up from my bed and grabbed a robe.

“Get me the sorcerer!” I ordered to the guards at my door as I left the room and headed to the throne room.

Why didn't she reach out to me before she died? Is it because she underestimated her opponent? If she did, then she must have assumed the person was weak ...
