Anaiah's pov.

I woke up the next morning thinking about those dark eyes I had seen in the window next door.

The lighting in the room was dim so I could not see the person's whole face but I could see it was a male.

I got down from the bed and rolled out my yoga mat.I changed into my yoga wear and started stretching.

After my yoga ,I took my bath.I took my time taking the bath, enjoying the bathroom.After,I cleaned my teeth and did my skincare routine.I loved my bathroom and my room at granny's .Everything was in all shades of blue as that was my favorite colour .

When we got here yesterday, Granny had already prepared my room for me.I loved staying with her .I just wished it was not under these circumstances.

After taking my bath and doing my skincare routine,I dressed up for school.I arranged all my essentials into my back pack and went downstairs.

I met my grandma in the kitchen making breakfast.My mom was still in her room.

"Good morning Granny",I said going over to fridge and grabbing a bottle of water.

"Good morning, my love",she responded with a smile whiles pulling me for a hug.

"Here ,have some breakfast ",she said placing a plate of waffles dripping with maple syrup and a glass of cranberry juice on the kitchen island where I was sitting.

"Thank you Granny",I said stuffing my mouth with the waffles.

"Take your time, Anaiah,before you choke",my mom said coming into the kitchen.

"Sorry ",I said slowing down.

"Here's your breakfast",my grandma said setting my mom's breakfast in front of her.

"Thank you mama",my mom said picking up her fork and begining to eat.

After eating our breakfast,my mom and I set out for Helway College.

She had already handled my transfer from my school back home .Since today was my first day ,she was going in with me to get me signed up.

My mom pulled up into the school.I had to admit,it was a beautiful school.The architecture was magnificent and it had a medieval look to it.

I now understood why my mom made so much noise about her alma mata.She was an alumni of Helgate College.

We got down from the car and made our way into a big building which my mom explained was the administration.

We made our way to the principals office after her secretary waved us in.

It turned out the principal was my mom's course mate back then.So I stood there like a lost puppy as they gushed and had their little reunion.

"Is this your daughter?",the principal said turning to me.

"Yes yes ",my mom said dragging me to her side.

"Hi,my name is Anaiah ",I said meeting her outstretched hand for a shake.

"Hi, Anaiah, welcome to Helway College.I hope you enjoy your stay here",she said with a smile.

She rang her secretary and who appeared a second later.

"Call Micah for me,I need him to show her around",the principal told the secret who nodded and left.

A little later ,there was a knock on the door.

"Come in",the principal said.

And the handsome boy from the diner walked in.We were both quite surprised to see each other.

"You called for me , Principal Ortiz",he said turning to the principal.

"Yes Micah,I want you to show Anaiah around.She is new",the principal replied.

"Okay,no problem ", Micah said turning to me.

I turned to my mom and gave her a hug .

"Give me call when you close",my mom said.

"Okay",I said and followed Micah out of the office.

"So which school did you transfer from?",Micah said making conversation.

"Umm, Belview College",I replied.

"Wow,so you are like a rich kid",he said teasingly.

"Well, I would not say that",I replied.

"That's what all rich kids say",he said .We both burst out laughing.The ice was broken.

After our little tour ,Micah and I were talking like old friends.He was so easy to talk to.He had to head to class and I also had a class that morning.But we exchanged contacts before parting ways.

I made my way through classes in a daze.During lunch,I met up with Micah who introduced me to two of his friends,Melinda and her boyfriend who was Micah's bestfriend Ed.

After lunch ,I received a text notification from Ari back home.I was surprised.She did not usually text me .

I opened the messages and I saw a text which said,"hey girl,I feel you deserve to know this".

I scrolled down and saw a picture that shook me, bringing my world to a standstill.

It was a picture of Maxton and Maya kissing each other.I was dumbfounded.There was a sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach as I look at the picture .

These two had not waited for a full day since I left to cheat on me.I had called the both of them last night crying my eyes out regarding my parents separation and how uncertain my life felt.And they had comforted me.

Can you imagine?Turns out they could not wait for me to leave so they could stick their tongues down each other's throat.

To think I called Maya my bestfriend and Maxton my boyfriend.I thought they both loved me.

My eyes was welling up with tears .I made my way out of the hallway and run towards the east wing of the school.

I remember Micah had told me during our tour of the school that some classrooms there were not in use.

I got there and opened the door to a classroom at the end of the hallway.I got inside and made my way all the way to back and crouched under a desk.

Then I let the tears flow.I cried about everything.My mom and dads separation,how shitty I was feeling and my friends betrayal

I cried till my head ached and I could feel my face swollen.

I continued sobbing till I heard a voice at my back.

I raised my head and looked at the person crouching beside me.

It was a boy .And not any boy at that ,a freakishly handsome boy.
