The dress fitting went by in a blur of different dresses. Margaret brought out several options …emerald green, midnight blue, burgundy …but it was the silver dress that made everyone shut up . It flowed like liquid moonlight and somehow made me feel less like I was playing dress-up.

“This is the one,” Margaret declared, and I didn’t argue because I felt the same way.

Within an hour, she had my measurements and promised the dress would be ready by tomorrow ...
