Selene POV

I ran to the bathroom and threw up. My stomach was already empty, but I kept trying to vomit. Nothing came up except bitter liquid that burned my throat.

My head hurt so bad I thought it might explode. I fell down on the cold floor and held my head in my hands. The room was spinning around me.

I didn’t know what I expected when I took my mother’s book. But it wasn’t this.
