Selene POV

The garden behind the east wing was dark and quiet. I walked on the stone path, my heart was beating really fast. The moon was bright, making everything look silver and beautiful.

I found Kael waiting by a big tree. The cloth he was wearing was all black, and for a moment I almost didn’t see him. When he stepped into the moonlight, I felt like I couldn’t breath.

He looked different at night. More dangerous. More beautiful.
