Evening came too quickly.

I spent the afternoon with Selene. Walking through the gardens. Showing her the roses. Watching her smile and laugh and be perfectly, blissfully happy.

The drought was working. I think it’s high time I do a little something for the priestess. She has been helpful after all.

But now I had other matters to attend to. Pack business that couldn’t be ignored any longer.

I left Selene painting in our rooms. And made my way to the council chamber.
