"Nothing stays hidden under the sun, you know?"

"What's this nonsense about?" Jamie, Doris' Mother asked, looking at me. 

I had interrupted she and Roberta's secret discussion. Roberta sat down in a defeated manner. Her shoulder slugged, her smile faded. Not like she always smiled anyway.

"Oh, you remember how you thought you could blackmail me then?" I asked, taking a seat as I placed the brown envelope on the table.
