MARRIED WITH BOSS

Vikrant looked at her going away with a chilled face. He dropped his cup with a crooked smile and said in a cold voice, You are threatening me? Do you think I care? It is not entirely your fault either; people like you think in only one way, according to their standards. Should you think that by so doing as suing me you may hurt me, take it off your mind. Not even a single person is able to raise their eyes before Vikrant Singh Shekhawat—there is no doubt that he can do nothing else. He was very arrogant on his face.

Stepping stopped Ishani at one point, yet she hurried on. You think you are at home here, do you? said Vikrant. You take your time when you want to go? You have forgotten; do you want me to tell you: even these doors open and close at my pleasure. Ishani shook yet ran up to the door and attempted to open it. The lock clicked, and she had been trying her best to open it, but it never opened. Tears streamed down her face.

She turned to face Vikrant, who was hotly breathing on her neck, and stopped. You want to know what is wrong, huh, huh, huh? He whispered very close to her ear in an intense voice. The door opened. You apparently do not know me; I like things to do what I want, be it a person or a thing. And when it will not go my way, I do smash it very badly. His voice had become harsh.

Ishani started crying at the sound of this. She turned and, crying her eyes out, said, What do you want of me? What's your problem? Why are you tormenting me? Please let me go." She wept so bitterly that her cheeks and nose flushed all over. Vikrant looked at her face and then smiled at her in an evil way. Ishani did not know what that smile was; she smiled back with tears streaming down her face.

Vikrant came near, and the breathing of Ishani stuttered. She held on, but he neither halted nor went as close to her as possible. Ishani placed her hands on his chest in order to push him away, but Vikrant grabbed her by the wrist and nailed it on the door and stared at her eyes. Bawling, she turned her wrist to get free. "So please," said Sobs, "Miss Lady—do please let me go—I will never ever come in front of you again." I won't cause you any trouble. Please let me go." She sobbed harder.

Vikrant felt satisfied at seeing her cry, and he grinned and said, Why should I let you go? Tell me—why should I? Did I not tell you not to get into my life? Did I not tell you not to get me into trouble? Didn't I warn you not to mess with me? You have pleased me now, and you are going to receive the fruits of my wrath.

Saying this, Ishani wept more, "Please, please, leave me alone. Did you not hear that whenever children do wrong things, adults should forgive them? You are bigger than me, aren't you? So, will you forgive me and be madam? Please." She sniffed and cried and again attempted to disengage her wrist.
