A few days later, out of lingering worry, Sigourney obediently stayed at home to recuperate, giving her body ample rest.

Theodore, however, continued to go to the corporation each day as usual.

One morning, while Sigourney was lazily sprawled across the sofa, snacking on grapes, the doorbell suddenly rang. She made a move to get up and open it, but Aunt Miller hurried forward to stop her.

"Let me get the door. You just keep resting."
