Lucas’s fingers trailed slowly down my collar, brushing the skin above my chest. I felt it in every part of me. My breath hitched, and he smirked like he knew. Like he could feel the effect he had on me.

“You’re still so easy to read,” he whispered, his mouth so close I could feel the heat of his breath. “Some things don’t change.”

I swallowed hard. “You shouldn’t be doing this.”
