While waiting for Mia, I found myself walking towards Adrian’s study to inform him about her arrival. But honestly, I was curious to know what he's doing. I knocked softly, not wanting to intrude, and his calm voice came from inside.

“You can come in.” I pushed the door gently and stepped inside.
