Aria’s POV

“Doctor!”

I looked up startled, just as a nurse burst into my office. Her hair was slightly messy and she looked out of breath.

“What happened?” I asked, standing halfway.

“A patient was just rushed in. Your attention is needed.”

I glanced at the wall clock; 11:03 PM. My shift had technically ended.

“Where’s Doctor Logan?” I asked, already knowing the answer.

“Not back yet. Please, doctor. We need you.”

I let out a breath.
