“Let's just get this done once and for all.” I said hastily, straining my neck to meet his gaze. Before I could continue, he spoke up;

“Clara came by today.” He paused, “I made you stay outside because I wanted to check if she was in,” I looked at him and shook my head slowly.

“No. I wasn’t going to ask about Clara,” I said quietly, holding his hands. “It’s about us.”
