It had been a few days since we arrived back in Australia, and everything had returned to a predictable routine. My classes kept me occupied, and per Jameson’s suggestion, I had started taking cooking lessons with the chef. The days passed in a cycle—studying, cooking, and occasionally calling Mia to check up on her. Our call frequency had gone back to normal, yet something still didn’t feel right.
