“She came here when you were in the theatre and said that she’s pregnant with your child.” The words burned in my throat as I spoke them.

Saying them out loud made everything feel more real, more painful. I had tried to stay strong these past two days, tried to convince myself that maybe, just maybe, it wasn’t as bad as it seemed. But now he was awake… and that meant the truth couldn’t be avoided anymore.
