“Hi, I hope the paparazzi didn’t give you any trouble on your way here?” I flashed Daniel a polite smile as he stepped inside with the boxes.

“Not at all, ma'am.” He returned my smile, but it seemed a bit stiff. Acknowledging Jameson with a curtly nod before responding to me.
