Chapter 3- Coffee shop

When I arrived at the coffee shop, I immediately sat down in front of Ellaine and placed my sling bag on the center table. "Why did you rush me to come here? And what was that surprise you were talking about earlier?" I asked her. I noticed that she was looking at the coffee shop's entrance.

"There he is!" I grinned sarcastically when Ellaine suddenly pouted towards the entrance of the Coffee Shop. And it seemed like everything around me went into slow motion when she brought Ezra Monteclaro, the famous Hollywood actor, through the door.

"Miss me, Loves?" Ezra said with a wink while holding my cheek. He never changed, he's still my first love who genuinely admired me. But sad to say, I made a mistake, and that's why we broke up. I was drunk, and until now, I still can't remember why Luther and I were in bed together.

I immediately removed Ezra's hands from my face and gave him a tight smile. "How are you? It's been a long time since we last talked. I almost thought you were still angry with me until now.”

Ezra smiled and quickly pulled me closer to him, causing us to stare at each other for a few minutes, and his last words were what made my heart beat even faster: "Because I still love you. That's why I can't be angry with you, loves.”

"Ezra... Please stop. What you're doing is wrong. I already have a husband and a child."

"Alright. I will stop. But I will not stop loving you, Eunice." He winked, which made the smile on my lips disappear, and it felt like all the hairs on my body stood up. I also noticed how wide Ellaine's smile was as she looked at Ezra and me.

"Ezra, Ellaine, I need to go. I still have things to do." I lied, also to avoid Ezra. Because Luther will surely get angry again if he finds out about this.

Eunice Sanchez Pov.

As I entered the house, I saw Luther sitting on our large sofa. I also noticed the anger on his face and his gaze that looked like he was going to kill someone. He was also holding a brown envelope, which made me curious.

"Are you together again with your ex? Since when have you been cheating behind my back?! Answer me, Eunice! Or else I'll take Isaac away from you!" I couldn't answer immediately because of Luther's quick approach and his tight grip on my cheek.

"So it's true? It's really true... Because silence means yes, Eunice!" I raised my face and looked at Luther seriously in the eyes. I also tried to remove his hand, which was still tightly gripping my cheek.

"Goodbye, Eunice..." he whispered in my ear and immediately left. "Shit! This is not going to happen. What if he really follows through on his threat earlier? I don't want him to take Isaac away from me because I can't take it anymore."

"I don't wanna go with you, daddy! I want my mommy!" my son shouted. So I hurriedly ran to go to him in his room. I saw that Luther was already carrying him, going down the stairs, while Monica was just following behind them with two big suitcases.

"Stop crying! I won't be swayed by your crying! Monica and I will be together, and she will replace you as Isaac's mother. So don't you ever bother us again!" Luther shouted and pushed me.

It felt like the world had crashed down on me, hearing those words come out of Luther's mouth just now. It hurts so much because the happy and complete family I dreamed of seems to have just vanished like a bubble. I endured everything. I loved him. He fooled me. But even so, I still accepted all of that just so Isaac could have a father, and we could still be a complete family.

"Fine... It's your decision, but remember this: I'll take Isaac back from both of you!"

Luther looked at me intently. "That is, if you can and if you can still find us here."

"I hate you! I hate you, daddy!" My son struggled against Luther.

So I approached Isaac, kissed him on the forehead, and hugged him tightly. "Shh. You stay with your dad, promise mommy will find you. Please, son, don't cry anymore because it hurts me." As I said that, I wiped the tears from Isaac's eyes.

"We're leaving now, your son is mine now." Monica showed a devilish smile in front of me now. As if she was implying that she was the winner and that Luther chose her and not me.

"I know all of this is your doing! We'll meet again, Monica. Remember that!"

"Okay, as you say. Goodbye, Eunice," she said, then walked out.

As soon as Luther and Monica left, I quickly went to Ellaine's house because I needed someone to talk to.

"What happened? Why are you crying?" Ellaine asked, surprised, when she saw me outside the door.

"They took Isaac, and I don't know where they're taking my son," I said to Ellaine, trembling, as I wiped the tears from my eyes.

She immediately approached me and gently sat me down. "Wait here, I'll get you some water to calm you down.”

I nodded immediately and quickly leaned back against the soft sofa. "Okay, thank you."

"Let me go! I want my mom!"

"Will you please stop shouting about your mom! 'Cause if you will not stop crying, you will never see her again. Do you hear me?"Luther shouted.

"I hate you, Daddy. I hate both of you!”

"Hate me as much as you want! But the truth is, I am still your father, and that won't change." As I said that, I started the car and glanced at Isaac, who was still crying. Shit, I love my son, and I don't want him to cry even more because it hurts me as his father. But her mom and I need to go our separate ways. I was only forced to marry Eunice because I got her pregnant the night something happened between us. And that's what Mom and Dad wanted me to do, too.

"Hey, why did you suddenly go quiet there?" Monica asked, so I looked for a place where I could stop the car for a moment. Then I got out and approached Isaac. But he had already fallen asleep with his eyes swollen from crying earlier.

"Monica, can you please drive the car? I'll just sit next to my son; he fell asleep."

Monica removed her seatbelt and quickly moved to the driver's seat. "Sure."

"I'm sorry, son, I know you love your mom. But that would be the last time that you're gonna see her," I whispered in my son's ear.
