Eunice Sanchez pov.
"It's been a while since Luther and I separated, and he took my son away from me. I looked for them, but he really did what he said he would do. Because until now, I still don't know where he took Isaac... And right now, I'm outside the airport waiting for my driver to pick me up. I traveled alone today because Ezra couldn't come due to his very hectic schedule. He also has many tapings and TV guestings, and he has two commercials to finish this month."
As for me, I told my manager that I need to take a vacation. The photoshoot for Vogue magazine was straight through, and it was just released yesterday. Ellaine even insisted on fetching me at the airport today. But I told her to stay at the boutique, and I'll go to her instead.
While I was still standing outside the airport, Ezra called me on my phone. "Are you at the airport now?" he asked in a sweet tone, and I slightly bit my lip when I heard his voice.
"Ugh! I miss you," he said, which made my heart happy.
"I miss you too, but. I need to hang up the phone now because my driver, Berting, is here.
"Okay... when can I visit?" He clearly missed me, and I couldn't help but feel thrilled. Ezra loved me without conditions, which made me love him even more—something Luther never did. And speaking of that jerk, I hate him!
"You can visit me here when all your schedules are over. Then we'll return to Vietnam together," I said and smiled. I probably looked like a fool smiling to myself.
"Okay, sure, but when we get back here, you should be pregnant. That way, I won't have to compete with anyone for your attention.” The lustfulness of this man emerged again. I suddenly thought about what Ezra said. Anyways, why not, right? We're a couple after all. Suddenly, I remembered my son Isaac. I miss him so much. As much as I want to go and see him, I don't even know how or where to find them. Luther is really good at hiding, making it really difficult for me.
"Welcome home, Auntie Eunice!" shouted my godson Isaiah. I smiled at him and ruffled his long hair. I'm sure if Isaac is here, he and Isaiah would really get along because they're the same age.
Luther Villareal pov.
"Dad, when can I visit Mom?"
"Your mother doesn't want you anymore. Do you understand me? She left us for another man. So stop asking about her! And go back to your room and do your modules, or else... I will let you stay at your grandmother's house now. Do you want me to do that?"
"After I said that, I saw Isaac's tears quickly falling down his cheek. I couldn't help but feel angry at myself for shouting at him every time he asks me something like that.”
"Please take care of him for now. I have a meeting to attend, and I'll go straight to Kelvin's bar after the meeting. Just cook his favorite chicken nuggets for him." That's what I instructed at Isaac's nanny. Monica isn't here because she's in Paris right now with her friends. But she'll be back next week.
"Granny?"
"Yes, wait, are you crying?"
"Dad tells me that my mom doesn't love me. And she left us for another man. Is this a true granny?"
"Let me talk to your dad, please. Your mom loves you, don't forget that. Your dad is just upset, so forgive him, okay?"
"Okay, Granny. But he's not here, he's on his way to his meeting."
"Is that so? Alright, I'll just talk to your daddy later."
"Okay, Granny. Bye."
"Bye too, Isaac. Take care there.”
"Shit! Lucas. That son of yours is really something. Probably because he's spoiled and takes after you." Lucia said, clearly annoyed. Damn it, I'm being dragged into our son's mess again. I wonder what Luther did this time?
"Wait, what happened? And why are you so angry and dragging me into it?" I tried to act cute in front of my wife, but shit! She just rolled her eyes at me. That's a blow to my handsome points.
"Your good son! He's saying nothing but bad things about Eunice to Isaac. What exactly is he trying to prove, that he's decent? He might have forgotten that he left Eunice for Monica!”
I stood up and went to the fridge to get a bottle of water. I opened it and gave it to Lucia to cool her head. "Thank you...Ugh! I miss our daughter-in-law." Lucia will miss Eunice. The two of them got along well in everything; they were both good at baking and cooking, and I heard that she is now a famous model in Vietnam. That's why I'm proud that she was my daughter-in-law. But she and Luther have separated and have their own lives now.
“You're welcome, wife. I miss our daughter-in-law, too.”I said.
Ellaine poked my side, which made me stand up, and I smiled slightly as I remembered Ezra. "How are Vietnam and Ezra?”
"Vietnam is beautiful. The food there is also delicious. But it's more exciting when I'm with Ezra," I replied, feeling giddy, which made Ellaine envious.
"I envy you, girl! Ezra really loves you so much, unlike Luther, who traded you for that flirtatious Monica. Let's go!”
"Hey! Where are we going?" I asked Ellaine, who was dragging me out of our boutique.
"Treat me to vodka! Let's go to a bar. Don't ask too many questions. Don't worry about Isaiah, he's with Yaya Ania." Great! I thought she was just going to leave Isaiah here alone. But he's with Yaya Ania, so that's okay.
Kelvin placed the newly released magazine he was holding on the bar table. I took it to look at it, but I was very surprised to see Eunice on the cover of Vogue magazine. "Look... That's Eunice, right?”
"Yes, it's her," I replied without looking at Kelvin. It looks like he's getting angry. And Eunice is also his friend. But he chose our side, Monica's and mine, over Eunice's.
"Seriously, Ellaine, when did you learn to go to places like this? Aren't you creeped out by the number of drunk people here? If you get raped, I don't know what will happen to you." I scolded, but the shameless woman just laughed at me and left me standing here alone. What am I, a statue?
Ellaine signaled to the waiter, who immediately approached her. "Table for two, please."
"Is it really required to act cute in front of the waiter here? Oh, Ellaine..." I whispered in Ellaine's ear.
"Of course," she replied.
"This way, ma'am." But in fairness, the waiter is also handsome. So, I won't argue with Ellaine's reaction. She's single, and I'll be happy when she finally gets a boyfriend.
