Renee was so ashamed of herself that she hid at the back of the same tree that she and Desmond fucked by. She was thrown back into her former state of disbelief at the fact that she fucked a thane. Desmond was standing next to her in human form, he had transformed. 

“ Come out, “ he said softly. 

Renee was quiet for a short while, she scrutinized Desmond from his head to his toe. He was standing stack naked.

“ Really? We fucked and now your only plight is to hide? I thought you were bold. “ 

Little by little, Renee began to come out from her hiding spot. 

“ You better not tell this to anyone, or else I'll _

“ You'll kill me? Do you even realize what just happened? You are my mate. “ 

Renee shook her head, “ I do not accept this mating thane. Never will I ever be mated to a filthy thane! “ She was instantly consumed with anger that she growled loudly. Her voice covered the air as she jumped over to where Desmond stood with the intention of attacking him. Desmond fled and took solace on top of a tree opposite them. 

“ You vicious monster. “ He called from on top of the tree. 

“ Come down thane, I promise not to hurt you. “ she was lying. 

“ What is your problem? We just mated for heaven's sake, can you calm down? “ 

“ Did the Thanes calm down when they bought half of the tribe elders into selling their lands? No. Did they calm down when they made some tribes poor by shutting them out of major supplies, no. So why should I? “ She circled the tree, “ And I told you that I refuse that mating. “ 

Desmond mockingly chuckled, “ C'mon, do you think I delight in this mating? I would much rather be mated to a woman with class and wealth. Not some low class nobody who was made poor by my family. So yes, I too refuse that mating. You can shut the hell up now. “ 

Renee was shocked at his rude reply. Her heart sank that she almost shed a tear at Desmond's harsh response. 

“ Get down from that tree first and see what I will do to you. “ she growled. 

Something unexpectedly happened to Renee as she waited for Desmond at floor level. A needle hit her on her right shoulder. When she realised that she had been hit, she instantly searched for the source of it. But to her dismay, she saw no one. The hit made her vision blurry and her muscles weak. 

“ I have been hit, “ She said as she couldn't see clearly. 

“ Did it perhaps kill you? “ Desmond asked. 

“ I have been hit, “ Renee rang again. This time, her strength was immensely weakened. She dropped unconscious on the floor. 

Renee woke up about an hour later. She was on top of a tree with Desmond. She shook terribly at the realization of her locale. She was in human form

“ Relax, you transformed. Or else how would I be able to lift you up here? “ he said. 

She was terrified, the man killing her crossed her mind, since she had threatened him countless times. But why was she still alive? Did he have one last message for her before ending her? She could not tell. 

“ You think I would kill you? “ It was as though Desmond was reading her mind. 

“ That is expected, “ She said, shifting away from him. 

“ Be careful, or else you will fall down. “

“ Why are you keeping me alive thane? I threatened to kill you. “ 

“ Unlike you, I am actually smart. There have been several manifestations between me and you in this forest. Do you think I would just let you die without finding out what it means? “ 

It was then that Renee truly understood what Desmond meant, it was then that she began to think about the series of manifestations that they had in figment forest. 

“ Oh now you're thinking about it? “ Desmond probed her.

Renee glanced up and saw that Desmond was staring closely at her, he was observing her every move. 

“ Stop. “ she shifted away from him. 

“ I said be careful or you might fall. “ His voice was stronger as he spoke.

“ Do you really care about me thane? “ Renee asked.

“ No, but I care about two things. One is to get out of this forest and the other is to know why I had a vision of you twice. “ He sniffed hard, his muscles rose when he did, “ Oh my, the mating heat is still strong, your scent is commanding. “

“ you better stay the hell away from me. “ she told him.

Renee glanced down the tree, it was a very high height. 

“ This is a very high tree, you must be a climber. How did you get me up here? “

“ I transformed. “ He rested beside her, “ What is your name? “ 

“ That is not important, “ Renee knew very well that she was still in watch from the Thanes. No way she was going to render her name to Desmond.

Renee could feel anger building, but she had to place herself under control.

“ speaking of draiglune, has your father released Micheal draig yet? “

That was her clan, but Renee gave no response. 

“ Someone is trying to have us killed here, we best be out of here. “ Renee looked to the moon as she spoke. 

“ right now I wish I was an origin wolf, “ He eyed her, “ I suspect you are with your strange colors. All I can do is hear well, and trust me, I can hear footsteps from far. “

Renee did not also want to discuss her origin prowess with him. But she realized that she had no choice but to demonstrate some origin abilities. Or she may be stuck in figment forest forever. She sighed and looked at Desmond.

Focusing on her third eye as her father had taught her, Renee slipped into numbness and her spirit did fly. Soon, she was in the air. She glanced at the massiveness of the forest in trepidation. Renee had to push further by flying higher before she saw something like a road far ahead. She went into her body and began to lead Desmond. Desmond carried her on his back as he followed her instructions. And finally, they appeared on a road. Desmond dropped her and ran into the road. He laid on it and began to wing his arms and legs in a joyous mood. 

“ Finally, I am out of that forest. “ He replied. He stood and backed Renee. 

“ You know, I have never asked. But when I first saw you, you were hiding in my company, what were you doing there? “ 

But when he turned, the woman was gone. Desmond have never wanted anything than seeing the woman again for some answers to both the manifestations and what she was doing in Lynn's prime synergy. He initially wanted to report her to his father, but a second thought came to keep it a secret from him for now.
