“Open your eyes.”

My eyes shot open when the mysterious voice rang in my ear. But despite opening my eyes, I still see nothing but darkness. There’s nothing but a void before me.

“Hello! Is someone there?!” I yell into the vast darkness and hear nothing back. Not even an echo reaches my ears.

For a brief moment I…thought I was dead. That this was oblivion and I would spend the rest of eternity wandering in darkness.
