I’m awoken from my sleep by a light sweep, the sound of someone’s feet sliding on the wooden floor.

My eyes go wide open, as the sound becomes more constant.

I’ve always been a light sleeper. I could never take a nap for the same reason.

The slightest of noise always proved to be enough to wake me up.

I widdle out of the sheets, and find my shoes.
