ERIC’S POV

The rage coursing through me was so intense it could set my veins on fire. I was angry at myself because I knew I had crossed the line. I said things I shouldn’t have and made her cry which I hated. But I was also angry at her for thinking she could buy me off like that with her body.

Everything I have done so far is to keep her safe. To soothe her worries, eliminate her fears, and make her life better even if it was just a little. But it seems she doesn’t see it ...
