Bright lights. Too bright.

“No!” I attempt to shout, but my mouth won’t open.

Despite my fear, I open my eyes. The lights are too bright. I try to cover my eyes, but my heavy arms won’t budge.

Where am I? Why can’t I move? My eyes struggle to remain open long enough for me to assess my surroundings.
