DAMARIS' POV

It's been two days since I told my mom everything, every little detail and she's still moping around the house with a sad face. She hasn't left the house since then and each time I leave the house and return, I still meet her in her night wear, brooding and in her bed. It's so exhausting to see her like this.

She's completely down and it's driving me crazy... Yesterday, I got back with the news of getting a job at the coffee shop, thanks to Carolyn and even that didn't cheer her ...
