It had been three weeks since I last saw Asa. Three painfully long, overanalyzed, half-denied, and completely ridiculous weeks.

I wasn’t keeping track, of course. I was just… coincidentally aware of how much time had passed since our last meeting together.

I believed the call he had received from his friend that day was very serious and that's why he hasn't been able to contact me. Maybe they got into some kind of trouble and he's still settling it.
