“What do you mean she’s pregnant?” Alex’s voice cracked the room like a whip.

“The results are clear." She said evenly, tapping the small monitor. “She’s approximately six weeks along. It’s a miracle she woke up when she did—another fainting episode like that could have endangered both her and the baby.”
